Just Another Friday Night...

“‎Life is a beautiful struggle. It is full of madness and insanity which is eclipsed by droplets of beauty and perfection. The moment we learn to stop focusing on the destruction of ourselves, and start learning to dance in that rain, is the moment that our souls will start to emulate the beauty around us. Remember when you can’t see anything but the chains that are binding you to your struggles, that some of the happiest people are the ones who have taken that leap to become free.”

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

“‎We all go through life wondering what other people think of us. Truth is, the harshest words are the words we say about ourselves.”

“Happiness is now. Not a goal or a destination. Happiness is a daily choice. Decide to be happy.”

Only you have the power to prove everyone wrong and make your happiness your number one priority. You do not need the approval or validation of other people in order to feel good about yourself, so never seek it. No person has the right, nor are they right about telling you how to feel, how to look or how to live. If you are living through the criticisms of others you are not living for yourself. Ignore what anyone has to say about you, you are beautiful and life can be beautiful as soon as you set yourself free from the evils of society.

“Nobody looks good in their darkest hour. But it’s those hours that make us what we are. We stand strong, or we cower. We emerge victorious, tempered by our trails, or fracture by a permanent, damning fault line.”

“SHE LET GO… without a thought or word, she let go. She let go of the fear. She let go of the judgments. She let go of the opinions swarming around her head. She let go of the committee of indecision within her. She let go of all the “right” reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go. She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a book on how to let go. She just let go. She let go of all the memories that held her back. She let go of all the anxiety that kept her from moving forward. She let go of the planning and all the calculations, about how to do it just right. In the space of letting go, she let it all be. A small smile came over her face. A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone forever more.” ~ Ernest Holmes

“Her life improved dramatically when she decided to break the rules and find beauty where she’d been told there was none.”

“So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains. And we never even know we have the key.”

“I must be a mermaid. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.”
